Many patients in a hospital or outpatient setting have multiple medical conditions. A thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology gives healthcare professionals the skills and knowledge needed to improve the quality of life of their patient by facilitating a systemic view of a patient’s condition.
There are times when health professionals treat and address a patient’s needs only in the health arena they are used to. However, receiving a through systemic review of anatomy and physiology of the body allows the practitioner to address specific patient needs, discover secondary problems inhibiting progress, and assist in improved inter clinician and physician communication.
